At the heart of FCA are coaches. Our role is to minister to these men and women by encouraging and equipping them to know and serve Christ.

Billy Graham said, “A coach will impact
more people in one year than the average person
will in an entire lifetime.” With the influence of a
coach, FCA recognizes the most strategic way to
reach more athletes is to first reach the coach.

To and Through the Coach
We pursue our vision and mission through the strategy of
to and through the coach. We seek ministry first to coaches
hearts, marriages and families. Then, when ready, we
minister through coaches to their fellow coaches, teams
and athlete leaders.

FCA ministers to coaches through several ways:

-
Bible studies for coaches
-
Staff contacts for coaches
-
Prayer support for coaches
-
Discipleship and mentoring for coaches
-
Behind the Bench (a program for coaches wives)
-
Resources for coaches
-
Outreach events
-
National and local conventions
-
Conferences and retreats for coaches

OPPORTUNITIES FOR COACHES

FCA loves coaches! We believe coaches are the most influential group of people in society today. Our desire is to support and encourage the coaches in our local communities. We provide opportunities for coaches to get away with their spouse at the FCA Couples Getaway each February, and we connect coaches with the Coaches Time Out retreat each summer.

We also provide fellowship times throughout the year for our coaches in Kittitas County and Yakima. We are looking to start a coaches fellowship group in the Tri-Cities as well. Please contact The McCollows if you are interested in getting plugged into one of these groups.

COACHES FELLOWSHIPS

We have three coaches fellowships that meet regulary in Central Washington for breakfast monthly! One in Yakima, one in Toppenish, and one in Sunnyside.

If you are a coach, have been a coach, or will be a coach, you are invited. School sports, community sports, college sports, club sports, all are welcome. Breakfast is free and is held in three locations. We start at 6:00 and are done no later than 7:00 so you can get to school, work, whatever... It is a great time to connect with other coaches, hear what's going on with FCA in the Yakima area, be encouraged, and start the day out right.

If you live in the Yakima area, we meet at Powerhouse Grill, 3807 River Road, on the 2nd Friday of each month through April.
If you live in the Toppenish area we meet on the 3rd Friday of each month at the Branding Iron Restaurant on Hwy 97 in Toppenish,
if you live in the Sunnyside area we meet on the 4th Friday of each month at the Grapevine Inn Best Western in Sunnyside.
If interested in joining a fellowship or starting another group in Central Washington, please contact us!
